History of the Lincoln Nautilus

In 2019, Lincoln chose to entirely reimagine their take on the midsize SUV. They released the Nautilus to fill a spot vacated by the spacious MKX, and the Nautilus introduces a new direction in luxury SUVs while retaining the MKX's most popular qualities. The Nautilus debuted with a long list of standard features fitting of a luxury SUV, from conveniences like a Wi-Fi hotspot to integral safety tools like automatic emergency braking.

The MKX premiered as Lincoln's first crossover vehicle in 2004, and it reinforced its high-end quality with a high-performing 265-horsepower V6 engine. Lincoln diligently upgraded and enhanced the MKX with each model year, with highlights like voice command and satellite radio arriving in 2008, Sirius Travel Link in 2009, plus an upgraded engine and exterior in 2011. The SUV was fully redesigned in 2016, and the maker continued to update the SUV until the Nautilus arrived to carry the on the Lincoln legacy.
